Battolyser Systems closed $30M Series A round

Battolyser Systems secured €30 million in Series A funding. The investment round included participation from Global Cleantech Capital, Innovation Industries, and Invest-NL. This Series A funding complements a €40 million financing agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) which was signed in October 2023.

Battolyser Systems develops and manufactures the world's only electrolyser with integrated battery functionality, called the Battolyser®. This technology enables the production of green hydrogen when renewable energy is abundant and power prices are low, and can also store or discharge electricity to alleviate grid congestion. The company plans to use the funds to scale its operations, bring its next-generation electrolyser to market in 2025, and finance its large-scale manufacturing facility in the Rotterdam port area.
