Calyxia raised $35 million in a Series B funding round. The investment was led by Lombard Odier Investment Managers, through its Plastic Circularity Fund, and Bpifrance, via its Large Venture Fund, with significant support from existing investors, including Astanor.
Calyxia is an industrial B2B cleantech company specializing in advanced and biodegradable microcapsules and microparticles. These are used in consumer goods, crop protection, and advanced materials to help manufacturers reduce microplastic pollution and greenhouse gas emissions while improving product performance. The company plans to use the new capital to achieve profitability, expand its commercial and industrial operations globally, and establish a new headquarters and a second production site in the Paris region by early 2025, aiming to increase production capacity to 3,000 tons per year.
