Turkish mobile game developer Cypher Games has raised $10 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by The Raine Group and included participation from Play Ventures, 500 Emerging Europe (or 500 Global), Riccardo Zacconi (founder of King), Humam Sakhnini (former Vice Chairman of Activision Blizzard and King), Akın Babayiğit (co-founder of Tripledot Studios), and Barry Cottle (former CEO of Light & Wonder).
Cypher Games is focused on developing its first match-3 game, which is slated for a global launch in the first half of 2025. The company intends to use the new funding to double its team size and accelerate production efforts. Cypher Games aims to create mobile games with longevity, focusing on dynamic environments, emotional connections between players and characters, and high production quality to meet evolving player expectations in the casual puzzle genre.
