Neurode, a Sydney-based company, secured $3.5 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from PsyMed Ventures and Stoic VC. This funding occurred on September 10, 2024.
Neurode is developing a wearable headband designed to track and treat ADHD symptoms using light electrical stimulation in the prefrontal cortex. The company's technology aims to offer a non-drug treatment by measuring brain activity and delivering personalized electrical stimulation to improve focus and cognitive performance. The funds will be used to support clinical trials for the device, which is currently available through a private beta as Neurode plans to seek FDA approval.
