Protege, a New York-based company, secured $10 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by CRV and included participation from SV Angel, Liquid 2 Ventures, Bloomberg Beta, and Flex Capital. Adam D'Angelo and Travis May also participated as angel investors.
Protege is developing a platform focused on AI training data. The company aims to address challenges in accessing and sharing training data, a significant bottleneck in AI development. Protege's platform will provide tools for data holders to share their assets in a controlled manner, enabling AI developers to access responsibly sourced proprietary data to build and train models more efficiently and safely. The funds will be used to expand operations and further develop its AI training data platform.
