NRR (Net Revenue Retention)

An important metric measured on a cohort basis that takes into account total revenue, inclusive of expansions and upsells, netted against churn, including cancellations and downgrades. NRR is commonly used to assess the health of SaaS businesses. A NRR above 100% indicates that a business was able to add more revenue through expansions and upsells than it lost in churn for a given customer base over a specific period of time (e.g. 12 months).
